I think he keeps an orange spoiler on it, but covers it up with vinyl until he’s actually leading the points.

Yes the only driver on tour that refuses to remove the orange spoiler. So, he "covers" it up and keeps the outside exposed just to let you know who he thinks the best really is. Take it off and earn that spoiler back. It definetely isn't a part of any paint scheme he is running.
