I wasn't trying to take anything away from Josh or any other driver, but Brandon without Mark would still be better than the monkey/ football scenario we seen when JD was with Barry, without Rumley. And honestly I don't think that was because Kevin wasn't there.

I think you need to back the truck up..... read the last line of my statement. All your statement did was back up what I said. The only timeframe I was referring to about JD was when he was with Barry and I think we all know why he ran bad then. It wasn't because Kevin wasn't there. I'm well aware of JD's career before and after Kevin. Settle down.

Without Rumley, I think the magic wasn't there. I think Shirley is a great wheelman and they have a good equipment, but Rumley made what JD was able to do last year possible. Fact. Almost every great wheelman needs that crew chief that can dial the car in to match the drivers skills. Cookie cutter doesn't suit everyone's style. JMO

If you want me to believe any of these comments,the driver needs to win in different brand chassis? Then he can be labeled the “best”. Bloomer,Moyer,etc...... have done it over the years. The new guys depend on the “man” behind the car of choice more now than ever.

No, JD/Rumley made GR's car stellar together, but they both left and I don't think GR is a sharp chassis guy. Without Rumley there to steer the ship that ride went back to what it was before, expensively mediocre. JD knows a good bit about chassis on his own, but combined with Rumley they rise to a whole new level. Bottom line, GR needs someone "like" Rumley to make the calls, he has good equipment but can't seem to make the right calls consistently.
