Ya, I talked to Arnie at Ocala and sat by him for the feature. He is weaker but still likes the racing. Hope B1 can bring home the rookie deal with WoOs, no more deserving owner then Arnie. He owns and sponsors that team, not many guys out there willing to undertake that deal with the cost alone.

I was at Ocala, saw Arnie with Ronnie Stuckey in the pits, same thing, big hug and talk. Good to see the racing community rally around him. I lost my dad last month to cancer so I know how important talk and hugs are. Stay strong Arnie!

Sadly he will not get well. My father passed of a different type of cancer, but only certain types, and/or if caught early enough, will you survive. Otherwise, it’s borrowed time.

And that is by no means a knock on Arnie, he has done a lot for racing, and had himself a good business. Hope he enjoys what time he has left. It is nice to see guys in the pits embracing him, showing they have a heart.

Once the cancer gets in the bones it is only a short time left. My uncle and dad both passed from prostate cancer, horrible disease. Let's make it a point to reach out to Arnie when we see him at the races and let him know we care. Stop, talk and hug is what he needs, trust me I know.

Not only does Arnie own and sponsor his own DLM race team, he sponsors other teams, has a snowmobile racing team, contributes serious $$$ to the Mayo Clinic, Hazelden Foundation, Univ.of MN, scholarships for students, Am. Cancer Society, Am. Heart Association, Am. Lung Assoc., Crippled Children, USO, Wounded Warriors, local food shelves and shelters....the list goes on and on....we all can learn from his generosity and kindness. I live in St. Paul and have know Arnie for over 20 years and no one I know has given more to so many for so long.
