What heat? It's been middle 30's all week, and low 20's and teens after the sun goes down. You're right about one thing though, it won't be an issue....... Because they won't be racing.

Here's another lesson for you. The sun creates heat. You're welcome.

Here's another lesson for you. Not at night. You're welcome.

The point is. It's cancelled. They can't change thier minds now. Get over it. Move on. Maybe buy your own track and run it the way you want.

I never said anything about at night. Learn how to read. Hooked on phonics will work for you.

My guess is, it had absolutely nothing to do with the ground temps, I feel like that part of it would be been fine. We really haven't been below freezing for several days at a time, so I dont think the ground is froze. I find it funny that the race track was promoting the crap out of the race, and the lucas oil page has been silent about it since the 12th.

I was going to dress like Randy from a Christmas story and go myself. I really don't think the drivers felt like taking a chance on shoving 20 degree air down the engines. That's when things start to melt. I say it was a good call. They can forecast it to be 37, and it may end being only 17. Nobody knows with that stuff.

Was it a day time race?

Partially with the 5:00 start time. The sun shines during the day and the Earth absorbs the heat and holds on to it for a while even after the sun goes down. At the end of the day they canceled, just move on and get over it!
