I will have to set my DVR.Originally posted by MI Dirt Fan View PostLucas Oil tweeted the Show Me will be shown live on Mavtv this season.
Here's the official story with some additional info.
I've included a snippet below.
The final night of the crown-jewel event on May 26, from Lucas Oil Speedway, will be aired LIVE on the MAVTV Motorsports Network, along with LucasOilRacing.TV.
Show time is tentatively scheduled for 7:00pm CST with James Essex and Bob Dillner serving as booth announcers, while Dave Argabright will cover the pit area.
The entire program, which will include two B-Mains and the Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge for the Super Late Models, plus the USRA Modified program's B-Mains and A-Main also will air LIVE.
"This is a landmark event for the Show-Me 100, to air on LIVE television all over the world. It's a big thing for dirt track racing and tremendous exposure for Lucas Oil Speedway and our great fans," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson said.

It would be a bigger deal if it was on a channel more than 5%-10% of the country gets. If that much.

Yeah they were. Until Fox got Speed Channel and turned it into a black sheep ESPN.Originally posted by zach51 View PostI'd like to say the World Finals were in the early years of that event but I could be wrong.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Mav-TV did East Bay in 2014 for one night.Originally posted by Snake X3 View PostCan anyone recall a Dirt Late Model race ever airing live on TV before. To me this seems like a pretty big deal for the sport.
Only in racing does a person knowingly put on a dud show, and then blames everyone else for not appreciating their dud show.

MAV is available in a much higher %. Any LIVE coverage is huge for our corner of the world! It's not great that it's a holiday weekend Saturday night with the lowest viewership night on TV. I suspect we will gather at a certain person's house with that BIG TV and enjoy! And watch some racing in person Sunday at Rome! Weather permitting, of course!Originally posted by MI Dirt Fan View PostIt would be a bigger deal if it was on a channel more than 5%-10% of the country gets. If that much.

Thanks guys.
When Dish dropped MavTV, I dropped them....completely cut the cord. I spend the money I used to waste on a cable/satellite and use part of that for LucasTV and DoD PPVs. MavTV helped get me interested the Dirt Late Models, so I am proof that TV coverage helps spread the good word. There are a lot of disgruntled NASCAR fans out there that would join our ranks if they got to see the product DLMR offers. I hope the Show Me is the start of more regular live race coverage for the sport.
