Not a bad idea. Atomic has been pretty lucky, I’ve went to the race at Atomic the last couple years. Been pretty good. And excellent car counts.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.

I feel like this was the determining factor on it being moved. During speedweeks a couple years ago, the temps were in the mid 20s one night, and I think there was 7 engines lost that night, and a number of others that got hot. I could see the drivers saying they wouldn't want any part of this.Originally posted by TheJet-09 View PostFrom a business standpoint I get it, especially if you risk a low turnout fan wise (which is understandable this time of the year).
But I've often wondered what role, if any, teams/drivers might play in decisions like this? If you're a Bloomquist or Richards (just naming names), and you voice displeasure over racing in such cold temps (maybe for equipment's sake), does the series listen?
I was gonna bundle up and go, but i guess I'll just have to wait.

I mean it is a little rediculous to have a race in Ohio in mid March... wasn’t gonna stop me from going though I’ve been to all of them. Why can’t Atomic get on the 4th of July swing though that’s what I’ve always wondered04192016

I think they faced reality and decided that making a bunch of people sick and/or getting cancelled if it did rain or snow was not necessary and also there was a real chance that the promoters could lose thousands of dollars from the chance of small crowds. Nobody in the pits and most of the fans would have been miserable.

The "Bama Bash" is supposed to be the last weekend of Feb or 1st in March! With better cars & car counts! But the Thomas' at EAMS screwed this up too! Some of us froze many times! Especially the last one at Green Valley, with wind and snow most of the day! Although Blake and his Dad were smart enough to sit in the warm truck all day, instead of freezing! That would free up the end of March and the Northern weather may be better then! Mother Nature is certainly a Mother!!Originally posted by JustAddDirt View Postor trade a few races early in the season with a more southern state.

Didn't the Icebreaker used to be run in late March instead of mid-March? We used to have some decent March weather in the east years ago. Not been that way the last few years. I think some people need to look at their March scheduling.Originally posted by TackyTracker View Postmaybe we should suggest to Lucas/Outlaw series officials that they start scheduling events past April from now on...
