Icebreaker was always the last weekend in March. Have absolutely no idea why they thought to move it up 2 weeks. I do agree with the call. It was the right call to make before they tried to start an hour early. I live 20 miles west and was not going due to temps. For me personally it would have been miserable. My body does not react well to cold temps. If that makes me a “wuss” then so be it I guess. Can’t make it on April 14th which is a bummer. We got tickets for the WOO sprints at Haubstadt that night and I’m not going to cancel plans already made with good friends. I hope for all of you that it is a good show.

Since 2009 The Indiana Icebreaker had been in mid March.

            @ Midwalker
I've had a couple of years where it has been very warm at The Icebreaker. 2009 it was around 65 / 70 degrees. If I remember correctly I believe is was 2010 the weather was sunny and near 80 / 85 degrees. 2011 & 2012 where warm as well.

As of now, I plan to catch it on the way back from Boyds.

First time going to Boyds and first time back to Eams in many years.

Lol gotcha. I usually go to this race(Atomic), and at my old job, in the winter we had to labor. So you could stay warm almost always because I had to labor. But sitting in the stands when it’s around 30 or less, it’ll be freakin cold. And I’ve got all the good Carharrt clothing. Been there, done that. Coldest ever for me was at WVMS, all my good stuff on and still flipping cold.

For what it’s worth, I am laid off right now so I wasn’t going to go anyway. But with the temps in the mid to low 30’s, I wouldn’t have went. Sitting there and getting cold, my back tightens up and hurts like a mofo.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.
