That's why I stick to the dirt tracks instead of drag strips I ain't never seen no bloods and crips at a dirt race but have been through a few hoods where you could tell there was some thuggin and buggin going on trying to find the darn track

Drag racing in some areas seems to attract a hood element. The thugs can’t seem to keep their hood stuff in the hood and this kind of stuff is happening more and more, particularly in the grudge racing world.

Sometimes when I go to Fayetteville, there is a drag race going on next door. There are are armed guards at the entrance to the drag strip because of the element that goes there.

Small time drag racing ant what it use to be... Went to a street race in Chitown a few years back... After I swore I never go agen.... The racing was great.. but seen over 50 guns in back of there pants...

I raced at Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, Wisconsin many times back in our drag racing days. Even back in those days there was a chitcago gang element present due to the proximity of the track to the chitcago metro area. There are upwards of 120,000 gang members in the chitcago metro area and most of those are not the least afraid of, or even inhibited by law enforcement. In fact they love it when they can congregate/infiltrate among a similar demographic in rural areas such as Union Grove, Wisconsin.

As was mentioned earlier, it's not nearly as easy for the pond scum gang element to fit in at a dirt track, but as Blackie mentioned there are plenty of guns at dirt track races. They're just not in the hands of gangs or that type of social element.
