Cleveland (TN) Speedway to be demolished

Cleveland Speedway has seen its last race. The new owner has started demolition on the track.

it sucks! Even though, we pretty much knew it was done. If only McDowell and Duplicity got Cleveland instead a few years ago, like they wanted! Things would be different! I'll try to never stop at this location again!! RIP Cleveland!

that's sad. Cleveland was the track that I saw my first Hav-A-Tampa race at, and really what got my family following that series. We had seen a big race the previous fall at Atomic, and heard about the big race at Cleveland, (The Shamrock 100). My dad picked up a ticket form at that race for the HAT Shootout. We went to several HAT races that year, including the first of several shootouts. I'll always have great memories of Cleveland.....it will be missed.
