Thats why i posted a thread on pick question
Agree bro.. seen in that thread that 3&4 was cancelled picks. So I took it as open pick to add to group 5. I guess you can call it the gray area of the rules lol

If 3&4 are cancelled picks then u should be able to use them in 5 but im not the one to make that call. The one running this show is

Since I am the defending champion the last two years 😎, I thought it appropriate that I chime in.

Even though there isn’t anything on the line other than pride and maybe a little boost to the ego, this still takes quite a bit of time to log in and try and figure out who to pick each week, especially during the summer months. There needs to be some clear rules and they should be followed throughout the whole season, otherwise, this will and already has turned into kind of a sh!! show and isn’t going to be fun.

        A couple of points:

        1. Who is in charge of this? Diggin or dch191? I understand dch191 is doing the points calculations, but has Diggin passed on the rules, too?
        2. In order to be fair, once the picks are set up on Tuesday or Wednesday, they shouldn’t change later in the week or after one of the races has been run. Not everyone sits and monitors 4M the rest of the week to see if you alter the picks. For instance, once the Outlaws cancelled, those drivers that were in a category that had to be chosen from, they should not be available to pick in category 5 or whatever, period.
        3. Picks need to make sense. This week you were to pick a driver not listed in a category for either the Lucas or Outlaws in category 1-4. Well if Lucas ran both shows and one of the Outlaw shows was rained out, if you picked an Outlaw guy, you get screwed out of points big time. Why not pick one additional for each series to make it even or just chose one series for the 5th pick (like Sniper did).
        4. In my opinion, this whole thing needs to start over from scratch. Someone make some rules and follow them for the whole year. In fact, If Sniper was going to do this again this year, I was going to put a $50 gift card for PF Chang’s or some other national restaurant to make it a little more fun. But that was premised on it being run appropriately. Like two years ago, someone put up a Dale Hollidge t-shirt and instead of taking the shirt, I had him get a kids size and give It to a kid at the first race he went to last year, which he did.

        Just my two cents worth.

I didn’t mean to cause any confusion or problems when I suggested it would be ok to pick an outlaw driver as a wildcard since their race was canceled. I thought it was a fair decision but after reading others comments, I understand the argument that it was the wrong thing to do. Like I said I didn’t mean to cause any confusion.

I hadn’t thought about that but that’s probably what I’ll do. I’d say that’s the fairest way to do it

Lol!! “In my opinion, this whole thing needs to start over from scratch”. Come on, let’s just scratch all 7 events because there was a little confusion with one event? That sounds like someone who hasn’t started the fantasy season as strong as they had hoped, so of course your going to want start all over. If anything else, I agree with the suggestion to just score the one and two picks, and scrap the 5th one, from this week.

I had no problem with the change his week, because I thought we had plenty of time in advance to prepare for it, but I do understand some don’t monitor this site as much as others, and may have missed it.

I agree we do need some defined rules. As far as I’m concerned I think diggin or dch191, either one, should make the rules on how we handle rainouts, for the rest of the season.

It’s easy, if you couldn’t read what post #1 says then picked a listed driver for your 5th pick then you get 0 points!!! I really don’t see why people just can’t follow rules!!!

I’m hearing the tide was higher than normal this year in Florida so Lucas oil is possibly not gonna count the points from down there! 😆

DOORMAN, if we go strictly by the first post and score it as you suggest then about half of the people, including yourself, will be getting screwed big time. If I score it exactly how the original post says then I'd have to take all 5 groups into consideration. Meaning if a driver in group 3 or 4 ran the Lucas race then they get the same points as they would if the WoO race was canceled. Afterall the original post doesn't specify what race each group counts for. So everyone that only picked from groups 1 2 and 5, like yourself, would just have to suck it up and deal with it right because they didnt follow the rules is what your suggesting correct?

Again its my fault for making a mistake saying it would be ok to pick a WoO driver in group 3 and 4 for a wildcard at the Lucas races this weekend. Only groups 1 and 2 got scored this week and moving forward I'll still keep track of points, but in the event of a rainout, I'll let Diggin handle how that gets affected. It probably wasnt my place to make that decision in the first place as I just agreed to keep track of points.
