All these classes and a SNBS race, this may be an all nighter. Would really like to go, but this has all the indications of a late, late night or early morning affair.

Very strict curfew from the county to be done by midnight. Shows have moved along quickly this year so far. Crate and limited late model have been qualifying 5 at a time.

Qualifying 5 at a time? How's that working out? I've never seen more than 3 at a time and that seemed like plenty to me.

The true "Group Qualifying" has helped in moving the show along. 4-6 cars in a group for weekly shows in Crate, Limited and Supers. It turns qualifying each class into a what I would say a little more equal track conditions for each driver as well as become more timely for the fans in the stands.

It has shaven each class down from a 15-20 minute time frame down to a 6-10 minute time frame. And when you have a strict curfew like they do, every minute counts. That is an extra 15-25 minutes of "Racing Time" added to the time between then and that dreaded curfew.

It's not always the "qualifying" that drags these shows out. Run the super late models early, if some fans want to sit there and watch all the other classes qualify, and do what they do, so be it. Everyone should b happy. But these tracks and promoters just will not do it.

Practice for tonight from 6-9 is still on! The weather is coming tonight, but it may hold off for awhile. We probably won't make that trip tonight, but you never know! Weather is good Friday and Saturday.

This could really be a great weekend! Hope the weather expected late Thursday and early Friday doesn't throw too much of a curve! I would be suprised if 101 won this weekend. With the expected field of cars, and the way they have ran so far! Maybe they have figured some stuff out though! With all the laps recently, I would say Clanton is the favorite! We shall see!
