Lots of people struggle in speedweeks including the 0 car. and Friday night he ran much of the early portion of the race in the middle and bottom of the race track. he said in a post race interview in Mississippi that they have been switching back and fourth between swing arm and 4 link on the rr depending on the conditions. I would imagine they opt for 4 link when their is no cushion.

At CJ's age do you really believe he wants back on that stage. I doubt it very much. I do think he wants to show some folks that he can put a car out there that can compete. I'm not sure how much longer he will be a player, but the guy has not forgot how to get a car around a race track.

Rusty was junk in Speedweeks. He tried to reinvent the wheel and failed. No big deal. Even had he gone with this best stuff, failure there means nothing.

Rusty is on the swing-arm island by himself right now. I have to give him credit for being able to do what he has without one other person in his division running a swing-arm to lean on or share info with. That's an Army of 1..

I heard him reference the new chassis in his post race interview at La Salle this weekend. He also referenced the new power under the hood that the car owner brought to the deal. Any one know what power plant he is running now?

IDK....but I did here Aaron Ridley at Senoia say he switched to Clements and he's never had horsepower like he has now...(which I already knew, Tony is one of the best in the business)

How many thought CJ was done ? He knows how to build a car. I believe if he wants back on the map, he is than capable.

It never was a matter of CJ being done , BUT , he does have some age on him now and had fallen behind , thats why he is still smart enough to bring in some younger , more up to date talent into his shop to help , I talked to the guy when he first came there and started posting on here , until certain people as usual started there crap , and this guy is no fool ,By the way , when did rumley go there?

Rusty is not only a good wheel man but also has a great understanding of set-up and how to make about any car fast.... He's been doing it for a lot of years with little to no financial help until now.

Apparently some people weren't at LaSalle Saturday night because that rayburn WAS working on a dry slick track. It looked like a blacktop track after the feature.

Let not take anything away from Rusty Schlenk. He has ran well on a limited budget for years.

That chassis is a Rayburn X by Rusty Schlenk racing.most of that is built in Rusty's shop in Ohio. Their are others that have been built one is in American Ethanol series and I believe Cody Mahoney has one this year also.
