That was several years ago, before he reached the status he is at now. And he wasn't doing that bad when they dropped off.Modern Day Spec Wedge Racing

That's the truth, but I'm not gonna back you up when all the angry booby fans come knocking on your door.Originally posted by dirtyboy View PostDidn't they try running Lucas a few years back with their own stuff with similar results? Maybe it's the competition week in and week out, and not just hand picking which tracks you wanna race against the big boys at.

it was a money issue...pierce had a good shot at ROY too...after they flipped at Tazwell they were off the tour...hard to drive all over the country when you can race for the same amount in your backyardOriginally posted by dirtyboy View PostDidn't they try running Lucas a few years back with their own stuff with similar results? Here is something to think about. EPJ won 1 maybe 2 races in the last 5 years in the 1 car. Earl didn't forget how to drive, as we can see in his new ride. Bad luck, bad decisions or bad car prep? Who can say? Bobby didn't forget how to drive either. They are not giving Bobby what he needs to win, just like they didn't for EPJ.
If your looking for excuses, there are a lot. Testing. Different car. Different Engine. Most of these tracks, Bobby has never seen before, much less ran a lap. And yes the competition is tough. But those are just excuses.
The key to this is Bob Pierce, a measuring stick and getting threw these new tracks at least once. I expected more, but you don't know what you don't know.

Earl is with one of a small group of people capable of fixing his performance. Don't throw the DB team under the bus. It's all different personnel now.Originally posted by Bubstr View PostHere is something to think about. EPJ won 1 maybe 2 races in the last 5 years in the 1 car. It's not like they fielded junk or had cars falling apart. They just didn't have the right know how making the right calls. Now, the new regime has the same issue. But, seems to slowly be improving.Last edited by MasterSbilt_Racer; 04-23-2018, 05:25 AM.Modern Day Spec Wedge Racing

To my knowledge, they fixed the shock issue a couple weeks back. The 32 was in Shinston not too long ago.

Its a new team and chassis for Bobby, and he's racing against 1 of the 2 toughest fields of drivers in the nation who have raced multiple of times at tracks Bobby is probably visiting for the 1st time.
He's tied for 8th in points, and only 60 being T-Mac for 5th. It's going to take time for him to get his feet under him. And Danny Myers as a car chief?! C'mon man.....Last edited by Tireguy17; 04-23-2018, 07:15 AM.

Bobby looked pretty good last night that restart messed him up having good top 5 finish. Bobby been up and down with the chassis and team change but I can say this he been racing really clean this season. Think lot people giving him alot grief for no reason and has to high expectation for him/team. First year on national tour haven’t raced on lot of tour tracks. Say he doing better than people give him. He only 60 points behind being in top 5 in points.

He's also only 30 points from being in 11th place...just playing devils advocate here. Closer to 11th than 5.
right now it could go either way for the team.

For those of us not in the know is Danny Myers as car chief a bad thing?Originally posted by Tireguy17 View PostIts a new team and chassis for Bobby, and he's racing against 1 of the 2 toughest fields of drivers in the nation who have raced multiple of times at tracks Bobby is probably visiting for the 1st time.

To add on to this point, even if Richards did give out the house car set-up word for word, it’s not going to work for everybody, because not everybody drives like Brandon Sheppard.Originally posted by fastford View PostI dont care how many chassis mark richards sells , or how much money you spend , to think he is going to give you his WINNING secretes is ludicrous , no one is going to do that , whether they tell you they will or not........
They key to being consistently fast is tailoring the setup to the weelman, and no two drivers are exactly alike.
