What is the advantage to this nose height rule? Seems to be causing more trouble than helping.

I read where several cars yesterday were folding the nose under on the RF....I guess I just don't understand the purpose of the rule. It seems pretty unsafe to me to run a car off into the corner over 100 mph and not be able to steer it.

Im sure the rule is to get them to stop collapsing the rf so bad... that and not make the nose look like its been in a crash already...

Jason ran the MLRA races at Davenport and Burlington over the weekend.

20th at Burlington, 6th at Davenport. I do hope, as I know you do, that he gets it turned around. Always liked him. Hopefully he gets his XR1 to his liking.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

Those guys were to high on the nose heights. Watch JDs car in Florida and if his RF wasn’t 18” from the track I’ll kiss it fellas. These guys figured out how to make 225#_250# RF springs work. I noticed JDs RF was so high at golden isles but the car was sealed to the track every lap. Hats off to the engineers that figure out how to go fast I guess. These guys have aero figured out and the cars are so aero dependent now it’s crazy. Won’t be long nascar will be enforcing the rules.

I thought you was going say that lol. Seen that too myself, really easy fix don’t let the LR hike up so high. Kind easy fix to the rules letting cars hike up so high, without banning other things making cost go up or changing bunch rules setting teams back on car set up. That how I kind of view it.

He got wiped out at Burlington I believe. He's been on the struggle bus for quite awhile though. I really wish he wouldve went with an xr1 or longhorn before he got the Moyer car though.

I dont think so. He most generally runs good at both of those tracks.

Rumley and Davenport hacked the maximum rear deck height rule in florida by running some sort of contraption (maybe an air shock with little to no spring rate) so that the car couldn't hold its LR ride height and would always pass the tech inspection. In turn it would cause the RF to come off the spring and the nose height would be some stupid height like 2ft. So the max nose height rule trumped the max deck height hack. Clever but too obvious to last forever

Another Rumley rule for all the people who hate rule changes. It was innovative but stupid. Next Rumley will run the F1 nose that shapes for max down force at a certain speed. Or maybe he will hook up a drag reduction system on the rear spoiler that will open up when Davenport pushes a button.

Rules are made to be bent and eventually broken. Remember reading a story where a nascar guy years ago ran fuel line through the frame rails of the car for that extra gallon of fuel or whatever. Also remember someone built the spoiler of a cup car to fold down once the wind from high speeds hit the spoiler. NASCAR inspects the spoiler angle with a weighted instrument. If your not trying to get around the rules that are in bold print, your not trying to win!
