While on the subject, any thoughts or opinions anyone can give on the place (from a racers standpoint)?

I've never been there, and it's no farther than a regular night of racing for me, so I was considering checking it out.

They're racing on the 1/4-mile tomorrow and that typically is very racy. As a fan, I love the Davenport facility - I've attended well over 100 shows there and I'm four hours away. I'd say check it out!

Unless the track has changed in the last year, expect it to get rough. That track always ruts up.

I grew up there wrenching on late models. I really like the half mile track but it doesn't get run much anymore. It's fast and pretty wide and is usually very racey.

The 1/4 mile track is good, but nothing special.
