haven't seen a race on the 1/4 mile track, but have been to many, many shows, most of them excellent, on the 1/2 mile.

Just trying to keep this thread above the other one until something changes.

Personally like the quarter, I enjoy the close racing. If you prefer higher speeds and strung out fields for the most part then the 1/2 would be more to your liking.

The quarter mile put on a great, multi-groove feature for last year's MLRA show.

Have seen the Deery Bros. and MLRA on the 1/4 mile and both shows were very fun to watch, plenty of grooves to run. Just great racing overall.

MLRA sent out a text around 6:15 saying both events (Davenport and LaSalle) are still on!

The Lee Co. show for tomorrow (5/3) has been canceled (technically postponed). The shows for Fri and Sat are still on as scheduled.

exactly why I took your reply from the other thread and started this one.

some of the worst damage to a track and a racing event are erroneous weather reports.

exactly why I am headed to lasalle this weekend. a couple of years ago, the reports on here said no way lasalle would be racing. Izzo and crew busted their a$$e$ all night long and I got to see a great race. hate to think how many dollars never got to the front gate that night because of rumors.

and izzo could have cancelled based on weather, or the threat of a reduced crowd because of the weather, but he didn't. just another reason I will always be an Izzo supporter.
