Mitchell Scores First Career ULTIMATE Series Victory at Laurens County Speedway
LAURENS, SC - The Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region traveled to Laurens County
Speedway located in Laurens, South Carolina Saturday for the Annual Ronnie Brookshire Memorial event worth $4,014. 20 Ultimate Southeast competitors signed into Saturday's event all trying to claim their spot in victory lane.
After leading all 40 laps and turning back strong challenges from John Henderson and Kyle Hardy in the Annual Ronnie Brookshire Memorial Zack Mitchell of Enoree, South Carolina scored his first career Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region victory at Laurens County Speedway. Kyle Hardy, Jeff Smith, Joey Coulter, and GR Smith rounded out the top five finishers. Zack Mitchell set fast time in qualifying with a time of 14.328 seconds to earn the Davis Diesel Service fast qualifier award.
The Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region will be back in action again for a double header weekend on Friday May 18th as the Series will travel to Gastonia, North Carolina to Carolina Speedway for a event paying $4,000 to win and on Saturday the Series will head to North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia for a $4,000 to win showdown. The May 18th event at Carolina will be co-sanctioned with the Carolina Clash.
