Sure wish more tracks would use this stuff with track prep.

Soap has been used for years due to how it works. Soap has two properties. They are hydrophilic so they love to attach to water and keep it. They also have hydrophobic properties which hate water and attach to things like dirt and grease. That is why it works. It attaches to the dirt and contaminants in the track and suspend the water which doesn't let it evaporate as quickly. It keeps the dust to a minimum while bonding the track surface. However, a little goes a long ways. To much and the track clumps up and you get the dreaded holes and ruts. Most soaps are also biodegradable rather quickly which allows them to not contaminate the ground water or soil around the track.

When we've been at Kokomo Speedway over in Indiana early enough as to see them still watering the track we've noticed a heavy dense foam coming out the top of the water truck as the tank is getting close to being full. Don't have a clue what is in the tank producing the foam but whatever they're doing they're doing it right 'cause Kokomo Speedway has the most consistent high quality track prep of anywhere I've ever watched a race and that includes Fairbury. That's saying something because FALS consistently does a great job with track prep but Kokomo is always just a tick better than even FALS.
