Mars loves ole Bloomer. This is by far not the first time he has intentionally tried to take Bloomer out. He's an idiot.

You're kidding right?Originally posted by TackyTracker View PostMars should apologize for that
That first contact out of 3 and 4 was clearly just a racing deal. Think "Bobby fan" said as much and he's 100% correct.
If you watch it more than once you'll see that Bloomer's car was actually pitched slightly left out of the corner on first contact. And no, I don't think that was an effort to hit Mars. Just racin'.
Second contact, Mars clearly gave him a "nudge" b/c he had a rf flat. If he wanted to dump him, he certainly could have. He gave him a %@#$ I have a flat and not happy about it tap.
Now, onto the apology front. Did Bloomer ever apologize to Mars for accusing him of cheating at the Firecracker and demanding his tires be tested? No he did not. Mars put the ole azz- whuppin' on the field and Bloomer b/c Jimmy "won" the tire set-up and race that night.
Results came back clean, and what Mars said afterwards in a tv interview is still one of the greatest quotes in dlm history.
They have raced hard, side by side, ever since that Firecracker race (it's been a few years) and NEVER taken each other out.
They're not sending each other Christmas cards, but they're not destroying each others cars either.

Part of the history goes back to one of the earliest Wheatland Show Me events. 0 jumped the cushion in corner 2 early on in the feature, may have been a restart just don’t recall for certain. When he did he pulled back down into traffic, Mars and maybe another car were the victims, tore the 28 up pretty badly. One of the few time recall seeing the 0 car overdrive or make a serious error but it was a doozy. Stuff happens. From my view on the backstretch last evening it was an intentional right hand turn into Scott after it got a bit rough on the front stretch earlier in the lap. Have pulled for Mars over the years, that move last night was uncalled for and could have easily been more disastrous. And no he didn’t break, went on to run that race at the tail.I hate time trials.

If Mars broke then I can understand but I was watching and Mars turned to the right after the racing incident happened and it looked intentional to me but if Mars was broke then ok

How? You’re three wide going down the straightaway and make incidental contact. I don’t think anyone was at fault. I wouldn’t expect any of them to check up in that situation. There’s room to be three wide, and they didn’t give each other an inch. I think it had more to do with past history between Scott and Jimmy that him and Scott gave each other no room.Originally posted by Mud View PostAfter watching the video several times, I think Bloomer was in the wrong.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is.
