    Hudson Oneal

Looking at his schedule for the coming up weekend looks like he will be at Daughtery Speedway for a crate race on Friday and then going to Brownstown for saturday and running a trifecta running the BoB series for 3K running the modified and crate all in the same night

Looking at his schedule again he was actually racing a USAC midget tonight 5-31 at Lincoln Park Speedway

Going from a midget to a crate to a super and a modified all in one weekend that is talent

Looking at the results of the race he flipped in the 4th heat and didn't make the show which sucks cause i would love to see what he could do in a midget

Young Mr. O'Neal drove a midget in a POWRi race at Mighty Macon on May 12th. I think he finished 20th in that show. We are anxious to watch him in a full on midget again. He was driving one of the Newman midgets at The Chili Bowl and actually ran respectably. He ran fairly late on Saturday night. C-main maybe.

He qualified 24th out of 32 cars at Lincoln Park last night and as has been said he flipped in his heat.

Given Hudson's immediate success in a sprint car at Brownstown (ran 2nd I think) a year or so ago he appears to have talent enough that he might just have a future in the dirt open wheel ranks which just might propel him further up the racing totem pole. We hope so.

He won't be at Daugherty. They just cancelled from all the rain they got this week.

I wish he would jump back in the midget and run Bloomington tonight.

Hudson looked awesome last night. His car had an issue on his first qualifying attempt and he pulled off. I believe he only got one lap and that was good for 24th fast. He shot to the lead in his heat race and was running the low and middle grooves. USAC midget stars Thorson, Courtney and Abreu started passing him on the high side, so he moved up to the top groove. Unfortunately on about lap 7 or 8 the big cushion in turn 3 caught his right rear and he went for a wild flip. I'm sure the car suffered damage and I don't know about its status for tonight. Kudos to Hudson.....he's proven he can handle an open wheel car just like a late model. He impressed the USAC fans.

I'm just curious. Are you already putting young Mr. O'Neal in a similar category as Courtney, Bacon, Boat, Grant, KTJ, Rico, Thorson & Bayston? That creates some pretty lofty expectations for a guy that has only been in a midget 3 or 4 times. It's a bit unrealistic to expect Hudson to be as competitive in a full on midget against the best in the country as he currently is in a dirt late model. If he does stack up well against all those guys sometime soon he'll for sure get the recognition he deserves but lets not over-hype the kid 'till he gets a chance to get good and comfortable.

I don't see where he says (or even suggests) that.
Maybe it's time for you to stop jumping all over every thread that mentions midget and/or open wheel racing if you feel the need to question people about things they DO NOT EVEN SAY.

                      CIRF,

Do you see anything in my short paragraph about putting him in the same category as the USAC regulars? NO YOU DON'T. I did not say anything about the same category or talent level. I was simply painting a picture for those that were not there last night. Was there anything wrong with me for describing his laps last night at Putnamville? The kid ran good in his heat race.....that's all I said. I don't believe I over-hyped him describing his heat race.

Thanks getinit for seeing it the way I posted it.

He jumps on everyone like their opinion about open wheel racing is not valid unless he approves it. He jumped all over me for saying the midget show in the dome will be a huge race. He said none of the big names will show lol...
