considering the Show Me 100 got 12 cars less for a $70,000 difference, I would say its not great. DREAM should be able to get 100 cars easily, but drivers know the same handful win the majority of the races up there.

Yeah...and when they drew 220 cars it didn't cost $1000 just to put tires on all 4 corners, fuel, and pit passes.Originally posted by lazermod3 View PostWhat a joke!they use to get at least 220.
Joke is not the word I would choose.
Sad, disheartening, bleak, tragic, or farewell might be better choices.
The slow death or late model racing has gone from a crawl, to a walk, to a jog in just the last 5 years. Soon it will be an all out sprint.

You didn't get six hundred bucks for finishing in sixth place either!!!Originally posted by Zonks32x View PostYeah...and when they drew 220 cars it didn't cost $1000 just to put tires on all 4 corners, fuel, and pit passes.

I don't remember the dream ever getting anywhere near 220 cars. The world used to get that many but not the dream.

And who's fault is that?Originally posted by Clayton_Wetter View PostYou didn't get six hundred bucks for finishing in sixth place either!!!
Not the fans...they show up and show out cash for tickets, camping, food, t-shirts, etc.
Why don't you share with us what your "dream" purse for the Dream should be and then run the math to see what it would cost each fan that attends in order to make that happen.
Then you can open up your purse and find a few more $20's and convince everyone else to do the same to make it happen.
Meanwhile, most of the guys in the pits will pull thru the gate with a $500,000 toter and trailer.
These guys are all trying to live nascar lives on short-track earnings. And that is why you only have 78 cars instead of 120+ at Eldora this weekend....b/c the same six guys continue to win 70% of the money at all the high paying events across the country.
