late models as support class for modifieds ?

Cedar Lake Speedway has $40,000 to win for their open modified show this coming weekend. Late models are the support class. I don't remember this happening very often around the U.S. Maybe some of you have additional examples.

For a few years, late models were a support class for big blocks at Syracuse.

The USRA Late Models are the support class. They are a limited late model. Sadly, I'd rather watch hornets than limited late models.

Late models definitely play second fiddle at the IMCA Super nationals.

UMP open late models are a support class @ Tri-City Speedway (IL) in the fall at the Modified Mania event.

I don't know how familiar you are with the USMTS modifieds, but they are the premier modifieds in the country. They are to modified racing what the WoO Sprint Cars are to sprint car racing.

At Vinton, IA last night a lot of the crowd left after the A-Mod feature, when the late model feature was up next on the program list.
