Thanks for the correction. I guess it's who gets it first then. Adds a little interest.

I think something worth considering is the level of competition for which those mentioned have won that many races. Certainly for the younger racers like Pierce and Richards. And for the older guys like Moyer and my hero, the zero. Those 800+ wins weren't at the local track. Some were, yes, but a good percentage are on big stages like Eldora.

Anyone have a rough estimate on career earnings for someone like Moyer? Minus tee shirt sales, etc., but just in purse money. Has to be in the millions, but how many. Two or three? I think Bloomquist won over $500K in 1996 alone (or one year right around there).

So...you knew it was a dumb statement to begin with.

Bloomer and Moyer have earned every one of those W's. Never met a single driver who offered to give one back.

Never met a single great driver that enjoyed finishing second either, which is why Bloomet and Moyer are arguably the two greatest of all-time.

Pierce had won 97 super late model races ( NO CRATES) prior to the 2018 season. He won at Pontoon Beach and Macon to bring the total to 99.

His next Late Model win will be # 100.

Buck Simmons won over 1000 feature races in his career.
(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) Trickle won over 1200 races in his career.
Don't matter who they were racing or if they were racing in a 5 car field that is a lot.
It is estimated that (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) Trickle turned over one million laps on a race track.

Always was a D!ck Trickle fan. ASA stuff, Junie Dunleavy, Schneider, always liked him. RIP (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

Both could be called Mr. Smooth. During qualifying at Pennsboro old Fast Freddy would look like he was running slow laps when in reality he was setting fast time. He was running so smooth and flat that he appeared to be running in slow motion. Both drivers always acted with class and dignity.

Moyer hasn’t been caught cheating, isn’t a rough driver, and has closed to 900 wins. 900!

Regardless of if you’re a fan or not, appreciate the final years of racing from Moyer and Bloomquist. They are the best to ever do it and nobody else will come close.
