JAMAICA, VA - The Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region made their return to Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway Saturday June 16th for the "42nd Annual USA 100" presented by WhosYourDriver.org . The event was also a bonus race for the Ultimate BOB, Ultimate Northeast, and Ultimate Mid-Ohio Valley Regions. 39 Ultimate competitors signed into Saturdays event all chasing a $20,000 payday.
A action packed 60 lap event to say the least. Tyler Bare of Rockbridge Baths, Virginia took control of the lead with with four laps remaining after race long leader Tyler Millwood had to go pit side due to a flat tire. Bare held off Brandon Overton and Dale McDowell for a career high $20,000 victory with the Ultimate Super Late Model Series in the "42nd Annual USA 100". The victory also marked Bares first in Super Late Model competition. Brandon Overton, Dale McDowell, Russell Erwin, and Zack Mitchell rounded out the top five finishers. Heat race winners included Russell Erwin, Tyler Millwood, Zack Mitchell, and Dale Hollidge. Consolation race winners included Jamie Lathroum and Michael Page.
Russell Erwin of Beaverdam, Virginia set fast time in qualifying with a time of 17.994 seconds to earn the Davis Diesel Service fast qualifier award. Erwin also earned the pole for the "42nd Annual USA 100" after winning his heat and at the conclusion of the event Erwin took home a 4th place finish.
The Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region will be back in action again on Saturday June 23rd as the Series will make their first appearance at Blue Ridge Motorsports Park located in Blue Ridge, Georgia for a event paying $5,000 to win.
