Thanks for the updates JTT. Glad they got the race in before the rains came. How is the pulse of the crowd after the rain started?

I'm glad they got it in as well. People in my area were pretty upset that we were going to run a feature with no heats, but the rain started falling with about 5 to go so the timing was pretty good. Tonight is the first time at TSS that I have heard others complaining to those around them, but to be fair, the tracks' time management was iffy. They didn't open the gates until an hour after scheduled time and hot laps were pushed an hour as well. If they would be been on time, who knows, but it was an issue. Also was the complete lack of communication from the track. No updates to social media about the delay, and then telling the crowd in modified heat #5 that the late model feature was next. A little communication goes a long way with fans. Track management was in tough spot tonight, they got the big race in, but there were some hiccups for sure.Originally posted by Mud Packer View PostThanks for the updates JTT. I don't make it to Tri State Speedway as often as I would like, but this must have been an off night for them. The Helfrich family has done a great job promoting that speedway for many years. For them to open the gates an hour late is really unusual. And their time management is usually pretty good. Hate to see any show not start on time especially when weather becomes an issue. Thanks again for the updates.Originally posted by Just The Tip View PostI'm glad they got it in as well. I suppose that they ended up not running the modified feature either then? Did they have a good crowd for the SN?

Oh I agree with you, the Helfrich's run a tight ship here and this is by far the best run dirt track I've ever been to. With that said, while the LM feature was really good, the rest of the night was a miss. Single car qualifying with weather approaching after a late start? I was shocked.Originally posted by Mud Packer View PostI don't make it to Tri State Speedway as often as I would like, but this must have been an off night for them. The modified b mains and feature are postponed for a date to be announced. The crowd was surprisingly big. A really nice crowd for the weather forecast.

I like the idea wish they had it all the time around here it's one way to shorten a night wish they did it every week around hereOriginally posted by TerryM View PostImagine what it's like down here in the deep south. They never run heats at most events. Just qualifying and feature, lined straight up. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen in this sport.I am what I am
