The immune system for whatever reason attacks the joints and as a result causes inflammation. That's why it's treated with anti inflammatory and immune suppressing drugs.

I think you are lumping all forms of the disease into one. Wear and tear arthritis is the most common form mostly seen in older folks. Comes from years of hard work and, sometimes, hard living. I have plenty of it... got a new knee and a new shoulder because of it plus it's in my spine, hands and my old knee and shoulder.

Back when I started trucking in '72 I hand loaded and unloaded almost 100% of my freight. Hauled mostly perishables and foodstuffs. Driver load/ unload was the deal. Some days I handled 80,000 lbs. plus drove to my next destination. Later on I flatbedded for 12 years. That chaining / strapping and tarping takes a lot out of a guy not to mention all that climbing on and off the load and trailer.

I hurt my right rotator cuff while doing a five year PT stint with UPS... tore it lifting a convertor dolly(110# dead lift)... hid the injury because I was trying to get on with them as a permanent hire. That started the road to arthritis right there...

No fun at all.

You don't have do hard work to get. Im sure alot this keyboard warriors on this site have it from typing so much  I can't say the second reason without getting ban or getting msg from mods, but Michael Jackson made big hit from it called "beat it" 😂

Yep....the Zero haters went from arthritis medicine, from beatin it too much after his surgery announcement, to anti-depression meds, now that he's back!

I think they are the real dopers......pass the pee cup!
