Could this race be done and get the cars and fans?

I was wondering if you made a race at say Oakshade or Atomic or Waynesfield and had it on an off weekend that WOO and Lucas did not run and make it a 1 day show gates open at 11a.m. hotlaps with group qualifying at 6p.m. heats at 8 p.m. NO ENTRY FEES PITS $40 STANDS $35 Purse as follows.

You need about 300 cars and 60000 in the stands. That’s just my opinion.

Mathematically:332.5 feature4.5 non-qualifiers $337k purse400 x $40 16k (pit crews only pit passes)10k x $35 350k (stands, would have to be a big place)50 x 110 $5500 leaving entry fee off the table, guessing 50 teams at standard entry fee....so free entry isn’t a huge chunk in the grand total, which is not what we’re led to believe. Doable with concessions, camping fees, etc. for one day show, even better. Race teams get a bigger return for one day and chance at $35k than 3 day’s divided out for same amount of money. Heck say no entry fee and raise pits to $50 and you’d still probably cover the entry fees that aren’t collected.

I think you could get 70 to 90 cars and a full house. Maybe run mods for 1,500 to win 150 to start as a support.

You're talking about a total purse for the whole thing of about $340K. You would have to charge $75.00 a ticket @5000 paid grandstand tickets, and hope to sell a lot of food, and rake in $50K pit money to make a pretty good profit.

Why not, $375,000 in tickets, 50K pit money, concessions taking in 50,000. That's over 100,000 more than the total purse.

Sorry, my bad. You are right about not pulling this race off. That is too much purse in case the weather or other things go wrong. Those tracks have nice seating capacities but nothing like Eldora.

So you want a guy to put out 400k in purses hoping to maybe break even lol. The purse isn’t the only cost the promoter has . Why would anyone ever be stupid enough to risk 400+k hoping to break even lol lol lol

You cant fix a money problem by throwing more money at it! Look whether we want to believe it or not, super lates are dying at a record pace. whether we like it or not, crates will be the normal. they are somehow going to have to find a way to police the cheating in it! People get on here and think the health of the sport lives and dies off Lucas oil and the WOO. Im here to tell you with those series not being fed, 12-20 cars will be the normal car count at their show very shortly. Some of the big sponsors of both series are destroying the sport, how many sets of shocks do you think Bloomquist, Richards , Davenport and etc , are buying? That answer would be none, but a guy like K-rob or Zack Dohm would have to fork out big bucks for them just to be competitive! And the whole Timothy Culp incident, get your blinders off, he is 100% right, promoters turn a blind eye to a select few to bring big names in! If any other driver handled the drug test incident like Scott, there would be hell to pay. Whether you like it or not he made a mockery out of this sport and exposed the favoritism that is ruining this sport

The only tracks in Ohio that could pull that off are Eldora or Mansfield. And even that would be a stretch.
