Doubt if a serious buyer would be on 4M. The track is located in west Peoria. The mayor and his son.both raced there. Neither West Peoria nor the county would like to lose the tax base. Just don't know who would buy it.

West Peoria and Peoria county have the say. There are a lot of factors in play at this track. It would take the right person (or persons) to get it profitable. It would be tough with the car counts and fan base. I would hate to see another track close.

I was expecting a response of "Peoria" from the poster I quoted , when indeed, the track is controlled by the City of West Peoria. I'm sure Dirtfan130 is nothing but a fake blowing smoke on the message board. Nobody in their right mind would blab his mouth off on here if they were truly sincere about buying the race track.

It's hard today to make any track profitable. A race track is noting I would buy if I wanted to make a profit with my investment. Like many are saying if you want to make a million on a race track start with two million.

I think Peoria has potential if done right. Sheri had done a good job rebuilding the track and providing a quality surface. Making it fan friendly is the key. I am not a regular at the track, only there for special events. But, I like the place.
