Sheppard wins for the 9th time this year. 33rd career WoO win. 6th all time. 4 away from 5th place on the list.

Little late...but summary first hand account.

I arrived just after the start of hot laps. I was pleasantly surprised to see Don O'Neal and Jimmy Owens in the pits. I was disappointed that AJ Diemel wasn't in the house.

Enough has been said about hot laps and qualifying...former track record had NO chance of standing.

Plymouth doesn't time trial at weekly LM shows and they run hard tires....so the locals did not fare so well in qualifying. McGrath and Scheffler did ok b/c they have ventured out the most to regional shows, summer nats, and a few Lucas & WoO events.

Tyler Erb and Shane Clanton were the only two WoO drivers who had been to Plymouth before (Dirt Kings race last year).

Heats were pretty non-eventful...bottom was definitely the preferred line, but a number of guys tried the top.

A couple of the locals were dragging anchor during the heats, but nobody looked more lost than Moriarty. That car would not turn.

Feger should've transfered out of his heat, but local driver spun in front of him. Feger looped it and stopped so he didn't destroy his car or the local driver's. Since Jason came to a complete stop...he went to the tail.

They worked the track before the LCQ's.
Thumbs up b/c drivers could run top or bottom the remainder of the evening.

LCQ's
Feger absolutely dominated his LCQ and Jared Siefert did the same in his.

I was shocked Kyle Bronson & Nick Anvelink did not finish in the top 3 in their LCQs. Brad Mueller for that matter too.
I was thrilled that Paul Parker held on to advance out of his LCQ.

Track Provisionals: Plymouth got that right. Anvelink and Mueller were by far the two best local drivers that did not get in through heats/LCQ's.

Feature:
Who am I to ? WoO scoring and timing, but Dennis Erb Jr. was the first car to go a lap down. Yellow flew on the next lap, but somehow he was scored on the lead lap at the end. Guys on tail of lead lap and 1 lap down were turning ok laps, but top guys were just that much better.

Tyler Erb screwed himself when he went up top on lap 4 re-start after Clanton broke. Cost him the lead and likely the race.

B-Shepp capitalized and definitely had the best car for 50 laps...he was fast on the top and bottom. Moran was better on the bottom and was knocking on the door late. There were great side by side battles throughout the field. Shirley, Scheffler, Marlar, and Owens absolutely pushed their cars to the limit.

I have seen many a late model race at Plymouth (weekly shows, Corn Belt Clash, Dirt Kings, and Woo tonight), but I have never seen that many guys run the top that hard. Sparks flying, and plenty of rear spoilers & right rear 1/4's paid the price. Two defined racing grooves for 50 laps and they used them both. Good show.

Decent sized crowd and pits packed full of racecars. Thank you drivers, race teams and Plymouth for the best Monday I'll have all summer. Thumbs up!!

And not to be overlooked...done before 10pm.

Pressure is on Shawano now to deliver tomorrow.

Oh and Krooser...I'm calling hornswoggle. You could've parked that big rig at the track if you really wanted to. There was plenty of space behind the livestock sheds...you missed out buddy.

I would have been out of hours and had to spend the night at the fairgrounds... the last time I pulled into Plymouth with my truck they booted me out... must have known I knew Phil!
