Tire test from the North/South?

Heres what I find...interesting... when juice was first introduced it was primarily to take a compound and make it softer, correct? If im wrong somebody tell me im not an expert on this. But common sense and science tells you when you do that it will break it down the structure of a tire. Any thing you soak in liquid for a while what happens, its structure and integrity falls apart faster. But now people say that soaking can make a tire last longer and reduce heat lol maybe but I believe in science so im not sure im buying it. Anyway the point I was trying to make is I always thought it was used for when the track was dry slick and grip was at a premium, Sat night there was grip all over so I dont think tire prep would of gave an advantage...

I am becoming a big fan of Ricky, I like the underdog story, but he looks like the kid that walks around with a backpack and a skateboard taking bong rips lol, which im quite sure he dont..with everything being said, is it possible that a guy in the span of a year can improve to running in top 5 and winning crown jewels from a regional series? Idk but im enjoying watching it, and from what ive seen the guy is pretty smooth and isnt tearing up anything like people said he always has...

I'm pretty sure it's mandatory that the top 3 finishers in every race go to post race tech at the lucas trailer, and they take a sample of the tires there. I dont think it matters if it's a 12k or 50k to win race. I did not stick around to see it happen the other night, but i have seen it in the past.

They tore their cars apart Friday night i know for a fact. They had some of them take the RF off, and had them take the hub off with it. They were up under the LR of a couple of them as well. This was all 16 cars that were locked into the A main after the heats.

It seems like the ones that complain about lucas or whoever not enforcing their rules, must have their eyes shut at times. I dont see enough outlaw shows to see what they do.

The WoO perform the same task. Top 3 go to the Craftsman trailer. Tire samples and check deck height as well.

Different chemicals do different things to tires. There are even combinations that will turn a tire into a hockey puck if you want.

They do post-race tech. My problem with them is what they have allowed to happen to bodies and noses. That is on them since they are the defacto standard bearer and make everyone go along.

Ricky has been fast lately so he must be cheating? C'mon people! He ran alot of southern races as a team mate to Vic Hill in 2016 and 2017, as well as Arizona and Speedweeks. Now that he's in a Sweet-Bloomquist it has taken his program to the next level.

As fans we should be happy to see someone other than Davenport/Bloomquist/Sheppard winning big races, not questioning his program.

The Wissota racers up north have been complaining to officials for the last 4-5 years about Weiss and his tire soaking, but it has fallen on deaf ears. How can anyone of us fans believe we have a "real" winner when the sanctioning body could care less. This drives fans, sponsors and owners away from this sport when Lucas, Wissota and other bodies do not enforce the rules.

You just mad Dan isn’t still running every week? Give the guy credit, he is young, quick, and oh yeah, pretty darn good. Has been all year, since he’s been in the SB’s. Really similar to Jared Landers.

I think the kid has always been fast but he is probably listening to what Bloomer has to say and he is believing what he hears from him. He looked really smooth in the feature. Car was straight and not sliding through the corners. Maybe his confidence is up and he can be more patient and wait to pass someone as in the past he was in hurry and made poor choices. Either way it was fun to watch. Shame Pearson had the tire issue as those two were about to have a battle that would have put that race over the top.

Hope Lucas did take the samples and continues to monitor results. I have two racer friends in Wissota country that have told me that Weiss has been soaking/altering his tires for several years. They have actually witnessed him doing it!
