Wasn't Mark Richards on his crew? Is this the car that was sold to Hoffman from Iowa and he won the World with it the next year with a number 2 on it? I believe it was a Ed Howe car and a Baker engine.

Bubstr, I don't know about Richards being with Combs. And this car (the Combs car) was a Howe I believe. Ken Walton, below, from Iowa, not Hoffman won the World 100 in 1978 with a Jig-A-Low car from Georgia, the number 02 on it.

                  I could be wrong though...

                  Ken Walton's 1978 World 100 winning car.

An interesting note has it that CJ Rayburn bought this very car after the World 100 win and started his chassis building career from the 02 Walton car.

Your right but I was close. They are both from Iowa and I remember the Jig-A-Low now. There was a lot of interest in the Jig-A-Low at a big race in Champaign Il, right before the World.
