Yes, yes it was. They used regular dirt that was on the grounds. You can tell by watching, it’s not good clay. And rocks carried in by the vehicles you mentioned would have been 57’s and smaller. Size of a quarter and smaller. The rocks jacking these people up I suspect we’re bigger, especially the ones breaking glass and injuring people.Originally posted by late model chaser View PostI don't think the rocks were in the dirt when it was placed but was carried in by the water trucks, pick up trucks, graders, etc. with there muddy tires from the access roads around the track. Simple, easy, fix.
Not a simple, easy fix. You could try using rock hounds and disc and a machine to pick up rocks like they use on dams, plus people, and you might get somewhere. Or start over with better clay, not dirt.Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.

The dirt is the old prep dirt from what was going to be a drag strip. The previous owner was putting in a drag strip and facilities that were going to host the Biggest drag events in the country. Then the EPA found a “stream†and shut it down. Guy lost everything. Cody and his crew used that prep dirt from the drag strip for the track. It was never sifted nor worked in with clay.
There’s talk in the off season of clay being brought in or the dirt sifted. I heard someone was contracted to sift the dirt but after he didn’t get paid when he fixed the well pumps out there he told whoever stuffed him to pound sand. Not saying it was Cody since he only leases the track, but somehow that happened.
Milliron owns the track, the give less than no Fs about racing in regards to keeping it open. They just saw a way to make money on something already setup. They would/will bulldoze and scrap the place within a week of Cody isn’t able to buy it or chooses not to because of all the crybabies and haters.
Remember Eral owner the original Mansfield dirt track and this is almost a sort of passage to keep open. Like the group trying to revive Pennsboro. We have go support these guys or we’ll just keep losing tracks.
