You're the one that said you didn't understand. He brought the same car that passed the first time around just a couple months ago. Seems simple enough.

Common sense says that he didn't overlook anything, the tech people in June overlooked something. The rule either changed (not likely), or the tech guy didn't check as close in June. That's not on the driver, that's on the tech guy.

Norm those cells with hard plastic bladders and d ring caps are from the 80’s and 90’s they are death traps , not like he’s going to back into the wall but you see how hard dale McDowell hit the lapped car a few years ago , if 2 guys are running wide open for the lead in the low 15’s and he’s running 19’s it’s not out of the realm of possibility of someone rear ending him with 50-60 mph of closing speed and both cars being engulfed in a giant fireball. Those cells should have been outlawed years ago

When they tech cars they are not able to tech every single thing. Thus, they focus on different things at different times.

It's on the driver to bring a legal car. If the tech guy screwed up in june, he got a gift then. The rule book hasn't changed. He either overlooked the rule, didn't read the rules, or was trying to slip it by again. This isn't a court case, precedence doesn't apply. Unfortunate deal.

Understand that Huck. I'm just saying he's one of those small time guys with an open trailer that only races when work doesn't get in the way. The kind that builds a car and then keeps it for several years till he can afford to upgrade, not the kind out here pushing the rules.

They did an interview with him a few years ago, he said something to the effect of just being glad to go to the World each year and race against the big time guys even if he knows he probably won't win it all. So the point I was trying to make was that the oversight between June and September was not on his side, but the tech side. That's all.

Needs to be a minimum speed requirement at these races anyways, look what happened to McDowell with that junker last year

Just cause they brought the same car back that passed dream tech means nothing, you cant assume that nothing was changed on the car and maybe the track checked something they didnt check the first time. I hope that clears up why imcrying asked what he asked lol...

Agree completely with minimum speed requirement. Last part of inspection should be time achieved in practice or tt savoiding hazard to serious racers.

So do they dq Bloomer if he slows on the track due to a mechanical issue? A minimum speed requirement would be a nightmare to enforce...

All Ernie does is get in everybody's way and causes accidents. Similar to the 22F of Nick Fenner.

That junker gets in the way at every race in the Mid Ohio Valley. It's actually a good thing he didn't race much this season, I can remember one night he was running the middle of the race track at Legendary Hilltop Speedway going about 40 mph during the feature and cars were lapping him on both sides. He had no business being on the track. When I saw his hauler at Eldora last year, I couldn't believe it...

                              Minimum speed requirement?

So you would kick a guy off the track after he's already drove 5 hours from home, paid for him and his crew to get in the pits and not to mention has taken vacation time from his job to come and be part of the greatest race in the world? THATS INSANE.

Every track, every class/division has guys who run in the the back and some much slower than others but this would be the beginning of the end.

He would just pull off the track.
