Purvis would've ended all discussion. Unfortunately I was too young to ever watch him but his record speaks for itself. What Bloomer and Moyer have done and continue to do though is nothing short of extraordinary. They've adapted to to all the changes in these cars and still win agaisnt the best in the business. The fact that they get to continue to do what they love at their age just doesn't sit well with jealous fans. We shoukd just enjoy it while it lasts.

When he left, he was the man. Look at the historical results for the World 100. When he quits showing up in the results, he was gone. He was 1st or 2nd 6 times in 8 straight starts in the World from 82 to 89. Then he was gone.

Ok thanks, Yes as far as I'm concerned he was the best but, just didn't race long enough in the dirt late model for some to know how good he really was.
