Shhhhh....Lucas Oil is the Bret "the Hitman" Hart of the dirt late model world. Best there is, best there was, and best there ever will be.

All those regional guys and drivers from that other national series, should just be honored that they are even allowed to compete at an event put on by Uncle Forrest.

He figured he already had enough points just by starting the A-main Friday to secure a top starting spot for tonight.

And, he was right.

Why race all 25 laps, risk tearing up a car or blowing up a motor, when you can just ball out for one lap, set quick time on back to back nights, and start 3rd on Saturday??? That's my theory.

Seems a little flawed to me that quick time over shadows winning on Thursday or Friday, but.....Not my monkeys, not my circus.

Can't blame ole Bloomer for using the event format to his advantage.

Since Junghans was locked into the feature, they were going to go home and pick up another car because he had an engine problem, too. They didn’t have a backup car with an engine as they brought a chassis to deliver it to Shirley (had bought from them).

I get what you're saying, rocket 1 is the best ride to have in the business (Bloomer fans may argue), but that said, you still gotta drive it, and coming from 19th to the front in 25 laps, at that track, against thst field of cars,....B-Shepp can wheel & sorry to disagree, but he wheels it better than most.
