wished late models nationals would be moved back to October.

I agree 100%! It sucks that it’s so close to the World 100

October in central Iowa is a detriment, good move on their part to move to September.
        I hate time trials.

We have been going for about the last 10 years. When we first started going it was in October and it was coooold. I believe it would probably help car count, but the weather is so much nicer in September. Either way it's always a great show and I think the Malvern Bank Late Models put on a hell os a show this year. Glad to see they are coming back!

I'd love to go. But it being so close to the world pretty much wipes out any chance I ever have of going, because it's either one or the other.

I think the move up and improved weather is more important to the fan count that how close it is to the World. This year was once again a record crowd.

Yeah, we are a long ways from Eldora. Sure, there are some overlapping hardcore fans, but I think there are enough fans around here to support it.

Knoxville made a long term commitment to the LM Nationals and stayed the course thru some lean years, fan count wasn’t very good although car count was. Have to question if they would have eventually pulled the plug without the date change.

Racing in October in Iowa just doesn't make sense. I've been to races in September where the temps were in the 30s at night.

I see a lot of you don't like the October thing. I was thinking first weekend of October would be great, weather is usually pretty good at that time, there are still some pretty nice days in October. I don't like it because it is back to back with World 100 and you will miss some top notch drivers because of it. Marlar is a good example.
