Ump fall nationals!!!

Fall nationals at Eldora was one of my favorite races, in the past few years weather killed it at Eldora.

I dont think you had to be there 2 days, they had either region or state races for bragging rights on friday night! I think if you moved the race to Oakshade or Waynesfield, it would be a win ,win! And yes Oakshade sucked for the summernationals this year, but usually its pretty racey. Plenty of stands and pit area, great food and the worst bathrooms in the country!

Jason Feger had a Facebook post about it a while back. The entry fee was real high especially for a 2 day $5k to win. Don’t remember the amount he quoted. It was just his perspective.

Actually the original format was Saturday Night Sunday afternoon. On Saturday they had tech at 9a.m. and pit gates opened at 8a.m. Hotlaps was at 3:30p.m. followed by single car qualifying and heat races. Sunday at 1p.m. was states races for states champions, chassis races for the leading drivers in the chassis brands and then consolation races and the 2 features. Also there were no entry fees. The thing is if Eldora wanted to make it a big hit you would run it 2nd weekend in October on Saturday and Sunday like it used to be. Also you would make the payout 10,000 to win for super lates and 5,000 to win for mods and keep the 2 day grandstand price at $20 and 2 day pit pass at $40.

That's a lot of money $80. Also I think the Entry fees had a lot to do with low car counts. $100 to enter plus $80 for a 3 day pit pass that's nuts. Also a lot had to do with look how many cars come from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio when it was at Eldora. You had when the weather was nice 110 to 175 mods show and 40 to 80 late models. I hope UMP brings it back to Eldora. I mean if not this race will be done for.

Bring it to Fairbury! Just run Mods and Supers.

Need to run all ump classes, it is supposed to be the championship

why not bring it back to Eldora? I mean it was there for years. And put it back to the original fomart and original dates and times and pay Super lates 10,000 to win 500 to start and 125 tow money and pay mods 5,000 to win 300 to start and 100 tow money. No entry fees and $40 pit pass and you would see 110 or so mods and 40 or so super lates.

If they have it at Fairbury there is a real risk that the event would be canceled two weeks prior to the race due to rain and they'd bold face lie about why.

That’s an idea I can get behind! I’d like to see street stocks too but I’m not too picky. Mods and supers would be good to me
