As much as I'd like to believe that, it is sure starting to look as tho the Clint Bowyer racing effect may be taking hold. I'm not going to claim that I know how these guys are paid, but it is looking like they are paid no matter how they finish. If that's the case, ole double L should prolly consider a smaller base salary with bonuses based off the cars finish each race. The championship is quite an accomplishment, but IMO they are capable of running much better than they have been.
