          97', the last good year in DLM before, "On The Hook" came along, IMHO. Been in decline pretty much ever since. How anyone can argue that the sport is healthier now than its ever been, is not seeing the whole picture? With car counts in decline, number of actual super events in decline and drivers retiring/quitting in record numbers, I don't see that as healthy or lasting. With out a strong and healthy root structure(Local DLM) the DLM tree is in danger. Just because the biggest events still draw fans and enough cars to fill the field doesn't make things ok. Its like seeing someone terminally ill in a new suit out to dinner and saying they look healthy. I try to see the big picture, not just how the top 10% are doing.
