Well i wasn't thinking about them being so you but lets say that Richards get a nascar ride for Hendricks does he go or does he turn that down and continue to run dirt same questing with B Shepp and Davenport.

Would yall agree that Donnie Moran passed the torch to his son Devin to carry on the family name. What about Don passing it to Hudson

The NA$CAR ship has already sailed for Richards. A guy like Pierce or Hudson might get a shot, albeit a long one. The have the talent, and they’re pretty enough for sponsors. That said, NA$CAR is fading into irrelevance. Brian the boy wonder has gutted it after his old man and grandpa built it.

As far as young talent, I feel like the sport is in great shape. Just hope that the cost doesn’t get so out of control that no one wants to fool with fielding cars anymore. I’d like to see purses get more even throughout the field to help all these guys out some.

Davenport, Richards, and Shepard could easily win races the next 30 years, just going by their age. This is the one thing that saves racing. If you are good u can do it for a long time. You need the good one's to stay as long as possible. No need to pass anything but a car on the track...........Bobby Pierce could realistically race for the next 40 years if you think about his age. This is a great thing for racing just saying.

Thats some good points guys especially Biplane cause i never really thought about that. What about like Kasey Khane i know he is more in the open wheel ranks but could he not sponsor a team or is it more realistic for him to stay in the open wheel ranks ie sprints and midgets. I would love to see some of the nascar guys that are leaving cause of the bs there come back and open up teams or maybe take over the teams that are like the rides that Biplane mentioned

Bobby pierce is your next bloomquist not saying he will win as much but he will rack up plus he already has the ego the haters the lovers and backs the ego up with his driving davenport is your next moyer guess you can compare bshepp to freddy smith he seems to like winning the dtwc he might get a dream or two before he is done i would compare richards to boggs richards might one day get a globe so thats the 4 i would say have got the torch from the older drivers after that my opinion the rest like hudson,devin moran,overton ect are already better than the retired drivers you have to consider back in the day it was totally different cars they was like a bomber or crate car and thats why i laugh when people always say jeff purvis is one of the best ever way different era just look at the names he beat up on before we knew of bloomquist moyer ect they came along and purvis decides to move along to cup series and didnt cut it just like bloomer couldnt total different cars and era

Yea i see what you are saying and i agree that the times have changed and it is different now than when the others came up but i was just curious as to who to keep an eye on and see what everybody thought about the younger guys that are in the sport that could carry the sport on for years to come. Im from South Carolina and I like to hear about the young shoes that are up and coming and are making a name for themselves all over the states. I don't get to hear a whole lot about some of the drivers from out west but i hear a lot about drivers from SC NC and GA.

I am looking to the future to see what it holds without say Bloomquist Moyer Babb Oneal.

Those are some pretty good names to look out for and now that you guys have given input i think i will start trying to keep up with some of these names and try finding a race that they are at and going and watching

If another 2008 and 2009 type recession comes along sponsors and owner’s budgets will be cut dramatically. Personally don’t think it will be that bad but some downturn will take place eventually. You could see half of the current corporate sponsors on Lucas series cars go away for awhile. NASCAR, Indy Car, NHRA, WOO, and every other form of racing would be impacted. What gets cut first when there is a reduction in revenue for companies? Advertising, marketing, and promotional budgets. Watch interest rates and fuel prices, those will be some of the indicators.

To me ONLY Devin Moran fits the mold of the great drivers. He started driving his own family car on a limited budget, was hands on with the car and was noticed and picked up by another team. Hudson may fit this mold but I don't know his history prior to the team he's with now and his dad was on the road unlike Donnie who was home to school his kids starting out. Moyer Jr I think will continue to improve and if his personal situation stabilizes so he can focus I think he'll do fine.

Bobbys already young career is alot better than bloomers was at his age and bobby is racing against more talented drivers and better more equipped faster cars and he has already spanked bloomer a few times
