Is it safe to say this could be the best roster the wwso has ever fielded?...

Here is the official word on tire testing...…………..
Wild West Shootout
1 hr ·
TIRES - CHEMICAL LAB TESTING
As a reminder to all teams headed to the Wild West Shootout just as we have the last 3 years our tech team will be sampling tires again in 2019. Tire rules are in place to try and provide for fair and equal racing. Attempts to circumvent the tire rule in any form will result in immediate disqualification. Multiple samples will be taken each day from all divisions. We wanted to give you some insight as to that procedure:
- You are notified that your tire will be sampled either via the RaceCeiver or at the post race weigh in. (WWS Officials reserve the right to sample your tires at ANY TIME)
- The tire to be sampled is marked at the scale by an official.
- An official reports to your pit area to collect the sample.
- At no time will the official touch the tire or sample during the process.
- Teams will utilize their own grooving iron to remove the samples.
- A sample is taken from one of the the front 3 treads in one spot. The tire is rotated 1/3 of a turn and then a sample is taken from one of the center treads. The tire is then rotated another 1/3 of a turn and a final sample is taken from one of the back 3 rows of treads.
- The crew person that cuts the samples will remove from the tire as they go and place into the sample vial that the official will be holding.
- Once all samples are in vial the cap is screwed on and then sealed and initialed.
- The sample is then placed inside of an evidence bag which is sealed and then signed off by both crew member and official. The tire compound and date code are also recorded on the bag.
- The team member and official confirm the accuracy of this and that the bag is sealed and in good order with their signature.
- Crew gets the "receipt" which is torn from their sample bag. That contains the bag number for reference.
- Samples are shipped daily to Blue Ridge Labs in Hudson, NC where they are screened with a mass spectrometer.
- Blue Ridge compares the samples to benchmark samples provided by Hoosier Racing Tire or American Racer for the compound and date code for the sampled tire.
- Blue Ridge sends a report for each bag number confirming if each meets the benchmarks.
- Once a tire has cleared the lab the promoters can then release payment to the competitor for that event.

I think the rate is $100/night.....not bad for a Hilton Hotel. The one you want is the Mesa Hilton. It's about 20 min. to the track.

I see where Donny Schatz is running Sprint cars in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia starting 12/26 thru 01/09. I remeber a few years ago where someone brought his car out here and he flew directly from Australia to Phoenix and he raced the last 4 shows. (Queensland is 17-hours ahead of Arizona.)Originally posted by BirkyTime15B View PostAnybody know for sure if Donny Schatz will be there in a late model?!
Not sure if that’s the plan this year or not.
