The weather don't look great tomorrow but never underestimate Charlotte's ability to get the track back in racing shape. I've seen some miracles there. And that line of rain, while impressive, is thin so there's a "chance" that it will rain like heck for a few hours and be done. Maybe I'm just being optimistic but I'm not ready to throw in the towel on Friday's show just yet.
Thursday at Charlotte

Would be $200 Just for 1 night....just wondering what others thoughts on this are?
If you purchased your tickets before July 30th they offered pit passes for free .
We got 4 for absolutely no extra cost

WoO has announced that there was an error and no fast times tonight broke the track record. Although Marlar still has the track record set last year with a 14.385.

One year, they brought in a helicopter and hovered around the track to help the drying process. I think that was the year they had several cars torn up, and a few injured drivers. It's been a good while ago now. Still to this day have I ever seen anything like that, but it did work.Originally posted by DownNDirty View PostThe weather don't look great tomorrow but never underestimate Charlotte's ability to get the track back in racing shape. For yall that say there should be a height requirement or an age requirement in the pits i would like to know why when we go to races i take my 14 and 9 year old in the pits cause my 9 year loves to see the cars and talk to the drivers after the races and he even likes to go sometimes during the races to watch them work and see how things go because he is interested in the way that they move and the way that they work fast to get it back out there but we also stand back and watch from a distance to give cars that may come in and out of the pits clear road to go on

Exactly....as long as kids are with an adult and supervised they should be allowed in. That is the future of the sport. Why do you think NASCAR is where it is today? Because until just recently they shut off nearly all fans from getting anywhere near drivers Or cars.... Or why do you think the NHRA is more popular than ever? You buy a ticket to an NHRA race you can see every aspect of the sport.Originally posted by racincowboy02 View PostFor yall that say there should be a height requirement or an age requirement in the pits i would like to know why when we go to races i take my 14 and 9 year old in the pits cause my 9 year loves to see the cars and talk to the drivers after the races and he even likes to go sometimes during the races to watch them work and see how things go because he is interested in the way that they move and the way that they work fast to get it back out there but we also stand back and watch from a distance to give cars that may come in and out of the pits clear road to go on

There were lots of scary wrecks there years ago. Jeff Cooke was airlifted with SEVERE head trauma from lead or a rock. Billy Moyer I think it was was knocked unconscious from a rock with throttle hung wide open. Not to mention when they used to run the USAC cars there. I think they told them they would never return.
