Says gates now open at 5 and they will start to the event as soon as the weather clears and the track is ready. Then it says they will race until midnight and continue again on Saturday.

I believe so. From what I read, they had to stop the Short Track Championship show last Saturday and finish it Sunday because of curfew.

They are quitting at midnight to give the racers and fans time to make it to the numerous bars for last call.
