Okay so these aren't Supers or even late models... not the point. Over 100 cars in two classes is what you can get with good rules that allow better competition.

Yeah that different time. Lot 4m would bitch about watching 100 street stock/pure stock/super stock. They cry about watching creates and limited late model because they are too slow. I miss the old street,pure and super stock that was real car with roll cage built inside of it. Now you have guys spending 25-35k plus for super stock.

Since my dad was a flagman in the 60's and 70's I remember only 2 classes back then as well!

I bet if every track announced a year in advance, that there would be only 2 classes the next year, they would still get plenty of cars, probly more!

Actually I lied... we had THREE! Street stocks (118" min wb), super stocks (112" min wb) and IMCA mods...

Exactly right guys, my local track runs 6 to 7 classes a week and can barely manage to get 10 cars a class. It would be nice to see them slim it down but unfortunately some promoters think the more classes the more cars.

Exactly, I was one of those people that supported my local track no matter what then a couple years back I went on a trip with my dad to watch some races; we we were gonna go to bulls gap, ponderosa and Lawrenceburg but bulls gap rained out so we just went to the last 2. Ponderosa ran 3 classes and lawrenceburg 2 and it was great racing in all classes ever since then I travel to see races.

I assume that’s a roller. You can get racing with a brand new sport mod for about $20k. That’s more stupid since they don’t race for as much money as the a-mods do.

Yep... roller. Man that's a chunk of change for a $250 to win main... most guys won't take home $50.00.
