I'm less surprised they are splitting than I was when they got together, not a good match. Good luck to Casey.Originally posted by MRM View PostDriver Casey Roberts and Blount Motorsports have parted ways. The team will select a new driver from candidates they considered last year when Roberts got the ride.

Good luck to Casey, hope he finds himself a good ride. I wasnt sold on him teaming up with Blount back when it was 1st announced, but as a fan of his I had high hopes. He wasnt bad in the car just nowhere near what Roberts or McIntosh have done in the last couple of years. I cant remember the date but wasnt it July or August when they got their 1st win together? When was the last time Roberts or Blount went that far into a season to get win #1? The Cushmans are good people and hated to see them get out of the sport, but it would be great to find another deal like that 1.

No, he spent the bulk of it with Cushman. He started in DLM with Slab Sellars driving an old Rayburn at Toccoa, then updated to a Walter Newman. When he left that ride to go out on his own Buck Simmons took over. Casey and a group of friends ran a Larry Shaw for a minute and then fielded a GRT(used Bart Hartman) for a season, maybe 2. Then in the mid 00's he hooked up with Cushman and they've utilized a lot of different cars while together:Barry Wright, VC by Moyer, Capital & Longhorn, in that order I'm pretty sure. Want to say he started up with Cushman in 2005 or 2006, but could've been as early as 2004. Then Blount and XR1.Originally posted by pap View PostHas Casey ever drove for Baird??“Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.†— The Dude

Yeah im good thanks, just had to take a break from the trolls and crybabies that were taking over every post. My brain can only handle reading so much stupidity at once, plus started a new job and been focused on that.Originally posted by SLIDING SIDEWAYS View PostHey jlacey

Local/Regional guys that seem like good targets for Blount (depending on how DB ride plays):
Corey Hedge(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)
Tanner English
Marlar (likely ends up with a different team)
Michael PaigeWe'll miss ya Doc Watson...

I wouldn’t doubt that either, unless they left on less than mutual terms.Originally posted by Last Tru Outlaw 4B View PostGut feeling there will be a past driver back in the Blount motorsports car..Up in the air who my next “favorite†driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normalâ€.
