Why is it such a big secret? Why not just say it on here?

I guess so. Lot of people think it will be Nick Hoffman. Is this the last ride of silly season that has to he announced? Looks like Mcintosh will be in the Blount ride.

It won’t be, but it would be pretty cool if it was Tim Fuller making a return to late models.

Don't know if I agree with that assessment of the situation or not, especially after watching the lucas oil race from tri-city, which is on MavtV tonight. Seeing Booby bounce back and forth off every wall in the place, while EPJ cruises smoothly and gracefully around the low groove to take the win, tells me otherwise. The difference between EPJ and Bobby is the difference between a wiser, seasoned driver, who races smarter and a younger, overly aggressive driver, who lacks restraint. One looks good and is exciting to watch, but the other brings the car home in one piece and at the end of a long night is more likely to bring home the trophy rather than a wrecked or blown up race car. Anyway, I think it fitting than Dunn-Benson and Bobby parted ways. He doesn't fit with their business model. If I understand correctly they are in the car dealership business, not junk yards and body repair shops.Bobby was most certainly an upgrade compared to who was in the seat before. That car went from mid pack to a threat to win every time they pulled in the gate

EPJ actually made a similar reference to that during the replay of the Knoxville Nationals when asked about 50 lap races and 100 lap races. Seasoned drivers like himself, Owens and Bloomquist know how to take care of there stuff and save the tires in the 100 lap races.Originally posted by Stefan2k4 View PostDon't know if I agree with that assessment of the situation or not, especially after watching the lucas oil race from tri-city, which is on MavtV tonight. Mi Dirt Fan, Exactly! It's just like work. With experience you learn to work smarter, not harder and at the end of the day, you get a better result.
And for all those who want to point out the Dunn-Benson didn't perform very well the last couple of years with EPJ, that's only looking at one side of the coin. EPJ also had a much better season in 2018. Sometimes, it's not one person to blame for failure. Sometimes certain combinations just don't work out well. It doesn't necessarily mean the individual parts are bad. This past season after their breakup, both DB and EPJ had much better seasons apart than they had the last couple of years together. Anyone who only points to one side of that coin and cites that as proof that the other party was to blame is being deliberately short sighted. It seems to me that EPJ is still a great driver and DB is still a great team. Just for whatever reason they reached a point where together they no longer benefited each other and it was time to shake things up.

It can just get stale after awhile. Just like Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus. Good things don't always last forever.
I don't remember the exact words from EPJ but if you ever catch the replay of Knoxville (I saw it on NBCSN) earlier in the race they talk to EPJ and ask him some questions.
