I’d hope they don’t drop the mods next year. I feel they’ve put on as good if not better a show than the late models have the past 3 years. Be a shame to not see them welcome back.Originally posted by kidrock View PostI have to agree with a lot of what you said here. I believe if they could get a track they could race on the Midgets and the Late Models are the way to go.

Y'all pissing and crying about a major dirt race in December with too many cars. Look like a bunch a d@mn children. Part of the reason there is so much down time between some of the events is to give the air time to clean out. Should they leave the track alone during these breaks, sounds like yes, are the breaks actually longer than they need to be, idk.
But crying about a race with most of the best in attendance and some strong under dogs who are actually having some success at the event. For the love of God, please go watch football and stay the he!! away from this message board if all your gonna do is b!*ch like a woman on her period constantly."The Wise One"

I've said it after every year. They have to get better dirt to provide better racing. The rodeo arena dirt with all the VP vitamins they are using isn't going to cut it. Cody go get some good black dirt/gumbo with all those bags of cash you made off with after this show so its viable in the future. Midgets Friday had a good show but couldn't race because it was so rough on Saturday. Better dirt cuts down on the clean up bill as well, win, win win.

Remember the good ole days when discussion, opinions and constructive criticism was not classified as crying?Originally posted by brsteg View PostY'all pissing and crying about a major dirt race in December with too many cars. The dome at America center holds 66000 people. Can we say it was half full? Or even 1/3 full? At 1/3 full that is $891,000 just in the stands at a GA price of $45. I'm saying he didn't lose any money and he's sleeping well.Originally posted by MI Dirt Fan View PostCan you prove he made off with bags of cash?

Being there, I'd guess it was around 1/3 full. Lower bowl & all luxury boxes were full. Upstairs had probably around 1,000 people sitting it. I'd peg the crowd around 20k as a guess.
As this event develops, I don't think it is stretch to think it could draw 30k or more. Some tweaks have to be made to improve track consistency/conditions & the timeliness of the show, but the concept definitely works. I don't think there are things that can't be overcome. It is a really cool event.

I think they face a barrier on the fumes, they didn't ever seem to rush to get wrecks cleaned up they just shut the cars off and took time to clean it up. Not to sound like the other guy on the chili bowl but they have 10-15 guys in each corner and swarm the track when they wreck and most of the time have them off the track in less than a minute or two. If they continue to have midgets maybe 4 wheelers with hand winches on the back like the chili bowl uses. The midgets didn't wreck near as much as mods and late models so not as big of a deal. But some way to get ahold of a late model without having to take the hood off would be beneficialOriginally posted by chathamracefan View PostBeing there, I'd guess it was around 1/3 full. They definitely made money of this event. Those numbers figured up don't include Thursday or Friday admission, pit passes, registration, vendors, etc.

A lot more vendors this year, I was walking around looking and wondering how much he lowered the cost for a booth to get so many this year. Still a lot of space for others though. I think my description of bags is close, not wheel barrels but bags lolOriginally posted by thexfactor0210 View PostThey definitely made money of this event.
