Now if that isn't someone using the old noggin! Great idea.
As I sat in line (for what seemed like forever) at the last race I attended, I thought, "Why don't tracks have someone with a clipboard, a couple of fives and a ten, sit at the pit gate and sign in the driver's of the rigs. Let everyone else pile out and stand in line to get their pit passes. But get the rigs in the pits!" I believe East Moline (IL) used to do it that way. Drawbacks? Possibly: Everyone with a team being paid for by check or something, but get a solution worked out in advance.
