I would say the loser may turn out to be, which grieves me to say, but Moran in the D&B ride. They never were "Great" with EPJ, but at least they were consistent, he's much stouter in the Black Diamond ride. With Bobby Pierce, D&B went from mostly consistent to erratic, part failures galore, engine failures, hot & cold performance. So I'm fearful this may be a step backwards for Devin, but maybe they'll turn it around. We can always hope.

Casey Roberts falls out on the winning side IMO.

That whole show up and drive thing with Blount just didn't work.

Nobody was really dominant in Lucas this year. Richards went most of the year without winning a race and still finished 2nd in points.

So you thought D&B and Bobby performed up to expectationsl? Everyone I thought was expecting young gun in top notch equipment to break out. Did they? Maybe I missed it... Just saying if they don't fix what was wrong last year, Devin may have taken a step backwards. I don't like to point to Dome as a measure of performance, but Bobby leaves D&B, gets back in family ride and wins the dome out of the box. Maybe it was bad chemistry, but I don't ever remember the D&B team being exactly threatening. They were just professional looking and ran better than lessor funded teams. The title years, if memory serves, were during the "Dirty Dozen" years for WoO and drew most of the heavies.

That series is too loaded now for any one driver to dominate. It's just not going to happen.

Yes, in the early days of Lucas/NARA, WoO was much stronger. Then they ticked people off, and Forrest threw money into Lucas, then bought it. And they are now the top series.
