I've spent my entire life in the pits of a racetrack, and there is an unspoken honor system, that you don't mess with peoples stuff. Cars and trailers are frequently left unattended, and there is seldom an issue with theft among racers. When a guy breaks that trust, he will forever be labeled in the community.

The guys I help didn't owe that dude a darn thing. Now if other folks owed him something that's on them.

Don't get me wrong the guy has talent; but IMO he's an idiot. Folks make mistakes but it's hard to let crap like that go. Where I come from once a thief always a thief.
